Sadly, we have to announce that the club will fold at the AGM on the 24th September 2010.

However, we feel that there is a significant triathlon community in the area which will benefit from a 'virtual' club (similar to the Pirates or Tritalk), which would come into place from that date also.  This new group will revolve around the forum and will set up training sessions as it does on many occasions currently - i.e. "if anyone wants to join me doing........".

It is intended initially that the group will be BTF affiliated (this costs a small amount each year) which enables people to get a refund off Triathlon England membership.  The biggest differences are that there would be no committee and no 'club' organised training sessions as the group would have no insurance.

There would be no charge for membership of this group - if you are on the forum, you are a member.  Social events, curry nights etc will continue to enable people to meet up regularly.  A new name could be decided on the forum, new kit, if wanted etc

SOME OF THE CONTENTS OF THIS WEBSITE (TRAINING ETC) ARE NO LONGER RELEVANT AND ARE NOW OUT OF DATE.  THE SITE WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE INTERNET SOON TO BE CHANGED TO REFLECT THE NEW 'VIRTUAL' GROUP.

About Us

Mid Cheshire Triathlon Club was established in September 2008, after a few local triathletes made contact through forums on the internet.  There appeared to be a gap between the clubs that exist in Cheshire with the only alternative being to drive long distances to training sessions.

The club is already growing and we are affiliated and insured through the British Triathlon Federation.

Aim

Our aim is to become a friendly, sociable, beginner friendly club, catering for all adults regardless of their age, gender and athletic ability.

Website
This site is continually being developed and improved.  You will find details of training sessions, races, social events, membership, kit etc on the website.

Forum
The club forum is the real heart of the club and will demonstrate, more clearly than the website, the number of activities that are going on within and through the club.  Please feel free to join the forum even if you are only considering joining the club.  You will then be able to access advice and support and maybe even train with some of our members before deciding if we are the club for you.

Volunteers

As a new club we will always be looking for willing volunteers to help us with coaching, training sessions, administration etc.  If you are interested in taking a further role within the club please contact any of the existing club members.

Alternatively, if you would like to help us out by putting up a club flyer at work or in your local gym, please feel free to download it below:
